Review: Ever Bilena Oval Brush

Over the weekend, I saw and bought this Ever Bilena oval brush on impulse when I saw it at Watsons. It seemed fluffy and soft and I thought I could use it for bronzer and also for blending foundation when I wanted a bigger brush.

The head is about 2 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide. It costs P250 (or 5USD). It is not as dense as more expensive oval brushes, buuut I find it softer than my P1600 (30USD) oval brush!

Rating: 💄💄💄💄 (out of 5)!

It managed to blend my liquid and cream foundation seamlessly! My Cailyn oval brush is a lot more dense and firm, but my trouble with it was that because of how tightly packed it was it could sometimes irritate my face when its plastic tip would accidentally scratch my face as I was buffing. With this brush, because it is fluffier, it doesnt do that.

I also used it to bronze my face using a powder and it was able to blend the powder really nicely on my temples, hollows of my cheekbones, and below my jaw. What it cant do is precise contouring, but you can also use it to stipple your applied contour if needed, although I prefer a beautyblender for that.

So should you get it? YES! Especially if you dont have an oval brush yet. Because you can use it to blend liquids, creams, and powders, it can save you more money from having to purchase separate brushes for powder and liquids. Its main downside is that its flimsy and light, but for the price I dont mind it at all. Ever Bilena also has a smaller oval brush that I think will be useful for blending concealer and blush and maybe even contour. Do check it out for yourself!
